800 g Karelian stew –meat (Karjalanpaistiliha)
butter (voi)
1 onion (sipuli)
1 carrot (porkkana)
10-15 whole grains of allspice (maustepippuri)
2 bay leaves (laakerinlehti)
water
1. Brown the meat all over in a frying pan with butter.
2. Put the meat, sliced carrot and diced onion in an oven pot.
3. Season with salt and add the allspice and bay leaves.
4. Cook in the oven in 200 degrees for 3 hours or more.
Serve with boiled or mashed potatoes!
